Small Things Considered.
The Pellet Plant at the Whyalla Steelworks, South Australia. Whilst spending my childhood in Whyalla, I did not take much notice of the steelworks. Returning as an adult, I was struck by the majestic size and industrial beauty in the labyrinth of sheds, stairwells, tanks and chimneys, coated in iron ore dust. There is something big and important going on here in this small town.

Archival quality acrylic paint on heavy, primed canvas stretched on a custom made wooden frame. The sides are painted with thick coats of white paint and there is a copper wire on the back, so no need to frame.
