Everyday.

An abstract still life of the everyday objects in my kitchen, including some treasures that are emblematic of Australian Design (Angus and Celeste Ceramics) and classic English design (T & G Green Cornishware). There is also a touch of Finnish Design with a dash of Marimekko tablecloth central in the composition. With this painting I also wanted to reference traditional still life subjects such as shiny red apples in a fruit bowl and ripe pomegranates.

Archival quality acrylic paint on heavy, primed canvas stretched on a custom made wooden frame. The sides are painted with thick coats of white paint and there is a copper wire on the back, so no need to frame.

100cm (W) x 84cm (H) x 4cm (D). Signed on the front.
